On the other hand, senatorial bets of the Nacionalista Party kicked off their campaign with a motorcade in Calamba, Laguna, which is the birthplace of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.
It was a fiesta-like atmosphere that greeted Nacionalista bets Adel Tamano, Gilbert Remulla, Ramon Mitra, Liza Maza, Satur Ocampo and Gwen Pimentel as they passed whistlestops in Biñan, Balibago, Sta. Rosa and Cabuyao.

Senator and Nacionalista Party standard bearer Manuel Villar also appeared at the Sinulog parade route.
He shook hands with people who crossed the parade cordon during the one-hour lunch break.
He arrived in Cebu City yesterday morning after attending the Ati-Atihan festival in Iloilo City last Saturday.
His vice presidential candidate Sen. Loren Legarda was at the VIP section of the grandstand along with several NP senatorial candidates.
They included Adel Tamano, Bongbong Marcos and Satur Ocampo, Susan Butch Ople, Gwen Pimentel and former congressmen Gilbert Remulla of Batangas and Neric Acosta of Bukidnon.
